Frank Staal is full professor of Molecular Stem Cell biology at Leiden University School of Medicine (LUMC). He is co-director of the LUMC Flow Cytometry Core Facility (FCF) and holds teaching positions at Delft University of Technology and Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He was a postdoctoral Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences, member of the Health Council that advises the Dutch Government (on neonatal screening) and coordinates two large EU H2020 consortia on gene therapy for immune disorders.

Dr. Abdelmonem A. Hegazy is currently working as Professor of Human Anatomy and Embryology Department in Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt); as well as he is a Consultant of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility. He did PhD at Zagazig University, Egypt 1999. He is the former chairman of the Anatomy and Embryology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt); and Professor in King Saud and Majmaah Universities (KSA) 2009-2013 and Misurata, Faculty of Medicine (Libya) 2000. Dr. Hegazy is also a referee member of scientific research submitted for promotion of professors in Egyptian Universities. Dr. Hegazy participates in a Zagazig University academic, scientific, educational and professional development activities in the fields of medical sciences development, including basic and clinical research, policy implementation, design programs, set coursework plans, curricula, syllabi, scientific conference paneling, as well as designing and delivering a wide scope of continuous professional development programs, including training, strategic planning, research methodology, scientific thesis and dissertation writing; research proposal, medical ethics, organization’s behavior issues, all with emphasis on system and staff development. Dr. Hegazy is a member of Institutional Research Board (IRB) unit, Egyptian Medical Syndicate, Egyptian Society of Anatomy, and Postgraduate and Scientific Research Affairs Committee, Faculty of Medicine. His pool of academics consists of original research articles/books/book chapters in various national and international accredited publishing houses. Dr. Hegazy has plenty of scientific publications and projects with many citations. He has got many national and international honors and awards. Dr. Hegazy has been supervising post graduate students in their thesis works. Dr. Hegazy is the Executive Editor of the Zagazig University Medical Journal & the Chief Editor of Journal of Biology and Biotechnology (JBB). He is also a well-known reviewer/referee/editorial board member in many national/international indexed journals.

He is currently working as a Distinguished Investigator and Director at Stem Cell Research Center, National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan. He got Outstanding Research Achievement Award, National Health Research Institutes.

Dr. Zhi-cheng Xiao is currently a professor in Monash University, who has both extensive academia and industrial experiences. He was awarded a Doctor of Natural Science Degree from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, in 1996. He was also trained in Harbin Medical University, University of Science and Technology of China and Beijing Medical University as both a medical and Ph.D student. He was a postdoctoral fellow of University of California, Irvine, University of Southern California, University of Rochester in USA, McGill University in Canada, and University Hamburg in Germany. He joined Singapore General Hospital in 2000 as a principal investigator; Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, Singapore in 2004 and Hong Kong University in 2008 as an Associate Professor. He joined GSK in 2009 as a Director of Innovative Research and joined Monash University in 2011 as a full professor. He established IRP Health, a premier Bio-Tech company, targeting the problem of antibiotic resistance, in 2014.

Ahmed Hegazi is currently a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology in the National Research Center, Egypt. Prof. Hegazi received his master’s degree in 1979, and his PhD in 1981. Hegazi's research work has been focused lately on bee products and their therapeutic effects. Hegazi organized and contributed to national and international research projects since 1977 and up till now; he has been the principal investigator on multiple research projects within the National Research Center. He Conducted training courses on Clinical Microbiology, National Research Center in 1979. He has 243 articles in national and international scientific journals.
