Biography
Currently working as a Professor in the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.perienced in molecular biology and biochemistry studies in stem cells. The goal of my studies is to uncover the mechanism governing adult stem cell self renewal and differentiation.
Research Interest
The functions of PI3K, MAPK, and shh signaling in the maintenance and differentiation of muscle stem cells. The relationship between stem cell metabolism and their maintenance and differentiation. The effects of adipocytes on metabolism and differentiation potential of muscle progenitor cells, and the transdifferentiation between muscle progenitor cells and other cell types. Look for the progenitor of muscle stem cells, and compare the mechanisms governing embryonic muscle generation and adult muscle regeneration.
